Parks & Rec Bonds finally making progress after 7 years

District 5 voters will be interested to know that the Parks & Recreation Report Card is on the agenda for the City Council Work Session tonight.

2016 Bonds are Making Progress. According to the report, the City has only spent $3 million to date of the $35 million bonds. Do not confuse this with the $97 million dollar bond referendum passed in 2022. The City is still working on the $35 million dollar bond referendum passed in 2016. The report says the delays are due to "significant construction cost increases and supply chain disruptions". Seven years seems like an awful long time.

Attached are photos of the report card so you can see for yourself. Pickleball players will be happy to see that construction may finish this year on the new Mazarick Tennis Pavilion.
