Fayetteville needs more FACTS and less FICTION!
With 26 days until Election Day, I have decided to start my first of many posts regarding transparency, as I believe transparency is a big thing that is needed in government. I will start with my own campaign and my opponent’s campaign. I heard that I funded my own campaign… which is not true.
I have contributed to my campaign, and I will continue to contribute. My mother and my daughter have also contributed to my campaign. I disclosed this, and I am proud of this. I will also disclose that my campaign has not paid any of my campaign workers or my family members. I have also not used any of my campaign donations to support other candidates or to make donations to charities.
I think a candidate should be willing to put their own money into their campaign. If a candidate is not, what does this say about how the candidate feels about his/her money vs. someone else’s money? Will he/she feel the same way when they are voting about other people’s money for taxes, fees, etc.?
Here is a copy of my most recent report that I filed with the Cumberland County Board of Elections. This is the third report that I filed. Campaign reports for new candidates are not available online yet at the Cumberland County Board of Elections. My opponent’s reports are available at the state website. Here is the link to my opponent’s most recent report.
I hope you will vote for me on November 7th. I will promise to continue to be as transparent when I am elected as I am now. I will also promise to spend your tax dollars as judiciously as I have tried to spend my supporters’ dollars. If you have any questions about this report or my campaign finances, feel free to contact me.
